The Moon And It's Connection To Lovers

The moon has long been associated with love and romance. Now, in her book, The Book of Lovers, astrologer Carolyn Reynolds introduces a new system for determining a couple's compatibility based on moon-signs as well as the more familiar sun-signs. By evaluating the sun-sign and moon-sign combinations of couples, Reynolds gives in-depth horoscope readings that are twice as detailed as ordinary sun-sign horoscopes.

Moon-signs are calculated from the position of the moon in the zodiac at the time of a person's birth. The moon changes its position in the zodiac every two-and-a-half days, unlike the sun which changes every 30 days. Astrologically, the moon is said to rule our deep seated emotional needs.

Reynolds, an astrological counselor with 20 years of experience, has used the moon-sign system for several years as a matchmaking and counseling tool. In The Book of Lovers, she uses sun-signs and moon-signs to develop personality profiles for all men and women born between 1900 and 2000. "The Book of Lovers is the ultimate love-sign book," says Reynolds. "By taking moon-signs into account, we tap into a deeper emotional side of a person. We learn what they look for in a relationship, what kind of lover they will be, and if they are right for us. Sun-sign books just don't provide that kind of emotional depth."
